Flight – A live butterfly experience
Flight – A live butterfly experience is a seasonal habitat.
It will open June 1, 2026, and continue through October 15th, 2026.
Come to the Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park Visit and visit Flight – a live butterfly experience! The over-2,000-square-foot habitat is planted with pollinator-attracting flowers and filled with hundreds of tropical butterflies representing dozens of species from Central, South, and North America. Learn about these winged wonders through educational signage, and study the butterfly life cycle in the nearby emergence window. New butterflies emerge daily, and we encourage visitors to consider membership so they can visit multiple times. This park project was made possible with City of Santa Ana youth benefit improvement funds.
